a perfect stay indeed
prime location spacious design luggage storage
this location shined! its proximity to the train station really helped and i was able to easily visit nearby attractions. the room possessed a lovely, clean atmosphere, i noted its spacious design. i deeply appreciated i could leave my luggage both before and after checkout as well.
the room had few electrical sockets to use and i needed more.

the room provided nice comfort with good facilities. it featured warm decor, almost romantic. the comfort allowed for a peaceful rest after long days exploring.

the staff showed true friendliness and were quite helpful throughout the visit. any messages sent before my arrival were answered promptly, i found this quite reassuring. i left an item in the room by mistake and it was kept safely until i came back.

breakfast was a treat with fresh, local ingredients i remember fondly. the dining area had a relaxing atmosphere, filled with soft lighting, very soft. the fresh coffee machine was a nice bonus in my room.

The room was VERY clean. A nice welcome was received upon arrival. The coffee machine had a nice supply of coffee. Sachets of coffee and tea were also available. The shower room was nice, stocked with toiletries, a shower cap, AND a sewing kit!!!
The price i paid for the room SHOULD have included breakfast. The cleaner did not lock the door every time she cleaned the room. ANYONE could have walked in when i was out. It was a bit concerning.

the staff were very friendly and helpful, i appreciate that. the location proved perfect for village walks. the room had plenty of amenities and the staff were very warm.

good refreshments comfortable seating helpful staff
the room had good refreshments. the bar looked clean with comfortable seating. i found the staff helpful . the hotel possesses character and is located near the station.
i noticed the hotel previously had a parking arrangement but it has been discontinued. overnight parking is apparently not permitted in car parks now.

Solid Stay Near the Station
early check-in water bottles coffee machine
Mia was there to welcome us, and she got our room ready early. This worked out really well. I was able to park the car and take it easy right away. The room had water bottles and a coffee machine. I did appreciate that the trains did not run overnight.
Previously they had parking at St Johns, but that has stopped. Overnight parking is not allowed now, I believe. Parking far away was difficult.

The room was spacious and very clean with nice little touches included. I especially liked that the room also featured photos of the market place and John Metcalf himself. The room has views that are very traditional.
